Meet Taylor
handpoke tattoo artist
A Chicago girl, living and loving in Joshua Tree, since 2014. I am an artist and entrepreneur, bridging the gap between self-care and art.
Art has always been a part of my life. I graduated from SAIC in 2013, and after trying a few things out, like creating a small clothing brand, or making my short attempt at painting for a living, tattooing found it’s way to me. The things I value most in life are relationships, and creativity, so tattooing felt like this effortless progression on my journey.
I think tattooing is a creative process of designing art that tells people’s stories. It’s a process that bonds and connects. I think at the end of the day that’s my favorite part. Seeing how my art connects to a client, helping them move some energy, process trauma, or just commemorate who they are at this moment in time, is a privilege. It’s the best part about my job.
Love Always was established in 2017, with the hopes of creating a different type of tattoo studio. The goal was to give clients a space to feel comfortable and safe. A place that felt relaxed, special, and fun. I want everyone who walks in to feel taken care of, because tattoos are self-care.
After starting tattooing 8 years ago, I still have plenty to learn. My style has changed, and today I prefer to focus on imagery of flowers, animals, female figures, and objects of design. As I continue this creative journey, love will always remain the driving force of my process.
Looking forward to working with you soon!
Love Always,
Taylor Elyse Compton
